This report examines current approaches to Evidence Based Policy and its success and failure in meaningfully improving outcomes. The best evidence possible is needed to inform nonprofit programming and how to best spend government dollars. Current methods of leveraging evidence are static and dependent on high-cost randomized control trials. We need a new way to synthesize evidence, utilizing core components.
